企业通过优质的翻译对外宣传以树立企业形象 （CIS，Corporation Identity System），千英翻译公司认为，简洁、达意、交代清楚企业的基本内涵应是公司、企业简介翻译的基准。
一般的单位简介翻译包括以下一些实质性的信息：企业的经营性质和目的、股东情况、注册资金、从业人员和厂房占地面积、产品介绍、联系电话、传真、联络人等。
然而在我国，有许多企业在宣传自己的企业前会对当地的城市进行一番描写，引经据典，不亦乐乎，篇幅也较长；其宣传词在措词上远离了平实和准确的标准，有点王婆卖瓜之嫌。如公司获省市进步奖优秀奖一大堆，有些简直就不可译。在西方的企业制度中根本就没有这一套。在西方，产品及服务的最好评判者是顾客，因此这样的宣传词照译、多译是毫无意义的，反而会影响整个英译文的效果。这样，译者所面临的困难就稍大一些，不能更改原文，如照译则有点不伦不类。最好的办法是站在客户理解企业的立场，以平实的语调、简洁的措词，译出企业的核心内容，如企业性质、股东情况、注册资金等。
